RENOVATION

Renovation of student dormitory originally built in 1970. This 10-story building contains 9 floors of student housing and 1 1/2 floors of support spaces including offices, laundry room, meeting room and a two story multipurpose room.  Project consisted of replacing most interior finishes, renovations to common spaces and renovations to the two story multipurpose room. Bathrooms on all floors were upgraded to accomodate fresh air intakes and windows at elevator lobbies on each floor were replaced. Mechanically, air conditioning was added to all student dorms rooms and electric boilers were replaced with gas fired boilers. Renovations also included replacing most lighting throughout the building. Completion: August, 2002 - Construction Cost : $1.5 million

3 new student housing buildings. Each building is two stories and has 4 apartments. Each apartment has a common living room & eat-in kitchen. Kitchen includes range, dishwasher, microwave, disposal, washer & dryer. Each apartment has 4 or 5 single bedrooms - total of 52 bedrooms for Phase 1 of hte project. Apartment average is 1220 sq.ft. Each apartment has individual gas and electric meters and each apartment has individual heating and air condition system.  Phase 1 under construction, to be completed August 1999. Construction cost $1 million,  less than $72/s.f.

 

Renovate former game room in Student center into 125 seat nightclub. Project included stage, new lighting and sound systems and custom casework. Completed January 1998. Construction cost $150,000.

Renovation of flagstone patio and masonry retaining wall adjacent to pond. Completed 1996 - Construction cost $25,000.
